Orteat OMS – Managing fresh food orders with precision and care
A custom order management system connecting producers, customers, and logistics to streamline operations and reduce food waste.
Orteat OMS is a tailor-made Order Management System designed to support a short supply chain business model. Developed in close collaboration with the client, this platform digitizes the entire flow of fresh produce orders — from creation and confirmation to shipment and delivery — improving coordination among producers, hubs, and the Orteat back office. I managed the full design process, from research and service mapping to interface creation for both web and mobile. The result is a human-centered digital solution that improves transparency, reduces errors, and enhances operational efficiency. The system was later adapted and extended to the fashion industry in collaboration with Artknit Studios, showcasing its flexibility across sectors.

Project Goal
To design an intuitive and scalable order management system that simplifies coordination between stakeholders and minimizes inefficiencies in the fresh food supply chain.
Design Approach
Conducted process analysis and mapped all user journeys (consumer, producer, admin, logistics)
Co-designed the system architecture with the client, covering every step from order creation to delivery tracking
Designed responsive UI for web and mobile platforms
Developed user flows and interface components using Sketch (+Zeplin) and Miro
Integrated complex use cases such as order issue reporting, batch management, and shipping label automation
Collaborated with the development team to ensure accurate translation of functional needs

The system includes automatic generation of shipping labels, as well as order archiving features and optional blockchain integration for advanced traceability.
